Reviews 4 the Rest of Us are just that — reviews of films, TV shows, occasionally books and maybe some other stuff, written by Tara, a writer and passionate movie-goer who reads the professional reviews and, maybe like you, often disagrees with them. Not that i don’t want to know that the dialogue was cliched and the plot static, but occasionally i like movies that aren’t well written but are still enjoyable and i think other people should know about them. Otherwise we might miss “Dirty Dancing” which was a “perfectly satisfying film” or “Last of the Mohicans” (it had Daniel Day Lewis. Need i say more?) or “Twilight” (yes, i’m a vampire romance lover).
But not all these reviews will be apologies for “maybe not great but still enjoyable films and TV.” Because i also love some little known gems like “Junebug” and think everyone should see “Bull Durham” at least six times. I also use the blog to tell you about things i love (or maybe don’t love) like e-book readers, performers or whatever else strikes my fancy.

I bet your enthusiasm will be contagious and you’ll inspire people to go to more and more movies and The Industry will get wind of it and give you a lifetime pass to all the shows they make and then you’ll spend all your time in going and we’ll be robbed of The Pleasure Of Your Company though I shouldn’t bring that show up since the Company in question turns out to be Clifton Webb and the only good thing I ever saw him in was Thae Man Who Never Was.
